This hotel in Karatsu offers great value for money. The rooms are beautifully decorated with an elegant garden view, and the futon beds are incredibly comfortable. The traditional Japanese garden, with its 400-year-old pine trees and raked sand ponds, creates a serene atmosphere. The hotel's location is perfect, allowing easy access to Takashima island, Fukuoka downtown, and the nearby castle. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
All aspects of this hotel were exceptional!

My Easter stay at this Japanese hotel was unforgettable. The staff was very warm and welcoming, always willing to assist in anything we needed. The location was exceptional - just a short walk to the beach where we enjoyed a fun afternoon of clamming, and close to the town and forest. The hotel's setting was perfect - a beautiful garden full of rocks, sand ponds, and ancient pine trees that created an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. And the food? Well, it was simply outstanding. We had delicious breakfast and dinner during our stay.
Although this wonderful hotel exceeded all our expectations, there was one aspect that could be improved: the bath facilities were very basic and not quite as impressive as the rest of the establishment. It's important to note that this is not a hot springs bath, although the owners did their best to make it as good as possible.

The traditional Japanese garden, complete with koi ponds, water-courses, and lanterns, adds a unique and charming touch to the hotel's atmosphere that is hard to come by in most modern lodging options. Although the hotel's location is a bit far from the town center, the free bicycles make it easy to explore the surrounding areas, including Niji No Matsubara Pine Grove. The breakfast offers authentic local specialties and a wonderful start to the day.
The shuttle service offered to and from the station might be a bit limited or inconvenient for some guests.
